Hello, I am Liz, Al's twin (also known as her better half).

To be honest, I wasn't sure where I really wanted to go with this speech.  It goes without saying that Al and I are quite different. Unlike me, Al can walk into any room and make friends, she is passionate about Green Bay Packers (Alex... I would always keep one eye out for Mr. Aaron Rodgers), and she is definitely way more into mac and cheese than I ever will be. In fact, I'm still not sure if our family joke about picking up Al at a New Jersey mall is really a joke at all...but our 23andMe DNA test would seem to confirm that Al is indeed my older, wiser, and almosttttas tall, twin sister.

Our differences, however, are not what separate us, but what bring us together. Without a doubt, Al has continuously inspired me throughout life by three defining traits that she always had: her fearlessness, her fight, and her passion.

For those of you that know Al, you know that she is fearless in everything she does. Al is not afraid to speak her mind. She is not afraid to try something new, and growingup she was most definitely not afraid of any large hill that involved a skateboard... or the cast that came with itWhile I obeyed the speed limit... Al pushed our car, Chavez, to the limit... and the speeding laws that came with it, much to our parent's dismay. She continues her fearlessness today by pushing the boundaries in a male dominated tech world, moving up the ranks in Apple, while simultaneouslypursing a master's degree at our parents alma mater, Georgia Tech. Indeed, Al has always shown me that there is never a mountain too high to climb, just the fear holding someone back.

Al has also been a fighter...and I don't just mean the 10-year who routinely punched me and somehow always got me in trouble. No, Al's fight is made up more of grit and determination. Perhaps her biggest display of fight was back in 2008. While I'm sure we're all familiar with the events that unfolded that year, it cannot be overstated how hard Al fought. Al fought not just to survive, something I doubt many others would have accomplished, but to actually live. While others would be content just to breathe, Al has fought to surpass expectations. Since her accident, she has run half-marathons, marathons, finished school, started grad school, moved to her dream state of California, saved and bought a house, been hired and sought after by major companies and of course, even managed to find time to fall in love with another twin. It is without a doubt that Al is one of the fiercest fighters that I know.

Finally, Al is passionate. If you've ever stepped between her and the TV during a packers game... you'll find out just how passionate she is. Just don't forget to duck when she throws something at you to get out of the way. Al is also passionate about her music, traveling, politics and ofcourse, her name, Al. While we love her full name Allyson, I don't think anyone but Grams can get away with calling her anything but Al. In fact, Al is so passionate about her name, it didn't surprise me when she told me she met someone whose name started with Al--- Alex. While their interests developed with the deacons and rowing crew, it has no doubt grown to passionate love of one another. From North Carolina, to NYC to California, it is clear that your love has no boundaries...not even a state line

If there was ever anyone steal Al's heart, I couldn't have picked a better person. Alex, you are kind, compassionate and love my twin sister unconditionally. You are no doubt now Al's better half, and I couldn't be more excited to finally call you my brother.

Al and Alex, I hope you hold on to these three traits as you grow together in your marriage.

May you always be fearless in your pursuits.Remember, that there is no mountain, or hill, too big that you cannot conquer together.

May you always fight to remember the commitment you made to one another tonight. While I've been told that not every day in marriage is paradise, I hope you always remember, and fight for, how strong your love is for one another.

May your love always be filled with passion. Whether you're cheering on the packers or exploring a foreign country, I hope you remember to enjoy the moment, and live life passionately for one another.

Al and Alex, I love you both dearly, and I wish you nothing but the best in your life together!

Fast Company: 6 ways to declutter your mind and get new ideas flowing again

6 ways to declutter your mind and get new ideas flowing again
If you feel guilty about your technology habits, you're not alone. Over the past few years, we've learned that the average American checks their smartphone 52 times a day, consumes nearly 10.5 hours of media in their waking hours, and has a shorter attention span than a goldfish. It also seems like every other week, there is a new study, report, or book that shocks (and chastises) us for our inability to focus. There are good reasons for growing public concerns about digital devices. As former

Wow - the most common causes of US death, vs the amount of media attention they get.

Unsurprisingly, violence is hugely overblown. Terrorism, for example, is over-represented by a factor of 4000.

Imagine what this does to the public's psyche?
